Between Blocks · the living mempool
A living portrait of Bitcoin at this exact moment. The glowing ring is the next block — a block that does not yet exist, which miners around the world are competing to produce right now. Around it, the live mempool: transactions competing for limited block space, the higher-paying gathered closer in. The dashed boundary marks the population currently projected into the next block — inside it, every light is a specific projected transaction; the wider field beyond is drawn statistically from the live mempool at the scale shown (white-cored points are individually observed). The network writes the events; the artwork supplies the motion. Nobody knows when the next block will come. When it does, the projected front of the queue collapses into it, and the newborn block becomes a deterministic constellation — generated from its immutable Bitcoin data, identical for everyone who ever looks it up. Tap any dot inside the dashed boundary to inspect it.

No simulated network events: arrivals, displacement, departures and block discovery are driven by real Bitcoin data — orbital motion is the artwork's visual language. Inside the projected boundary, every light is a specific transaction from mempool.space's live next-block template; the outer field represents the remaining mempool statistically at the scale shown. Constellations are a deterministic function of immutable Bitcoin data and a versioned generator (v1) — once published, a block's artwork never changes. Live data: mempool.space. No charts, no noise.
Deterministic — constellations are a fixed function of immutable Bitcoin data (generator v1) · live data: mempool.space
